I had such a fun day last week. My girl and I went to the pumpkin patch with her preschool class. The day before I was going through my patterns looking for some inspiration. When I saw this jacket pattern I though it would be perfect for her!
And I had some of the cutest Halloween fabric that I was going to make another skirt with, but how boring is that! So instead I made her this fully lined, almost reversible jacket.
I reminded myself of my mom, finishing my sewing the night before it needed to be finished. And in my true mom form, I even altered the pattern. While everyone had already gone off to bed, I was sewing on some cute vintage mismatched buttons. It was done in time and she wore it the whole time we were out.
I was so glad that it was a cool morning. We went on the kids train ride, walked through the petting zoo (smelly!), saw a pig race, and went on the hay ride to pick out our pumpkins. I love getting to go on this field trip. There would be no way I could have this much fun by myself!
p.s. The hat my girl is wearing is a a candy corn knit hat that I made. It might just be the next crafty day that I will be hosting :)

Oh my gosh, that is absolutely DARLING!! And she looks so cute. I would have loved to have had little handmade outfits when I was her age. And I love the hat too!!
this is absolutely precious!
Really cute jacket! Well done. I think it's a requirement, as a mom, to be finishing something up the night before it's needed :) The festive hat perfectly tops it all off!
