All summer long SKJ held classes to teach the young ladies of Placer County how to sew by hand and machine. Thanks to our very own Tessie Takehara, these are some of her students and a bit of what they learned to make.
learning how to use their sewing machine
decorating their sewing boxes
hand sewn pillows
Aprons
owls (that's Tessie in the middle)
disappearing nine patch pillow
making their first quilt
Thank you to all the girls that we have met this summer! I hope you have enjoyed your classes and continue to love fabric and continue to grow in your love of sewing.
