go baby!

My Mom, Donna, teaches in the shop about once a month.  She loves using the Go Baby from Accuquilt.  She seems to always be thinking of something new to make.

Here she is with her students from the Sweet Heart Table Topper class.  I love how these ladies each made it their own way.  Just using one color of fabric, making the topper oblong, or using brighter, deeper fabrics.  Each one is beautiful!

The next class is going to be the Shamrock Wall Hanging.  See how Mom used the Heart Die again!  So cute.

It measure 8 x 15. And will be great to make with a variety of green fabrics.  Or just one green batik, like in this one here.  We also added a few ladybug buttons.  I hear they are lucky too!

Saturday, February 14
10:30 - 3:00 pm / $10.
And you will even be fed lunch!

Call (916) 209-3930 or come in to register for this class.  You will receive a class supply list when you sign up!

wish list #2

The Go Baby!
from Accuquilt

We all would love to find one of these under our tree on Christmas morning.  The Go Baby, has so many fun dies for applique, and quilting.  It makes each cut precisely.  You can even layer 6 fabrics at a time and cut them all at once!  Quickly and accurately.

We always have a Go Baby in the shop, out and ready to demonstrate for you.  PLUS, we now have a Go Baby Club.  We meet once a month to use our cutters and create something new.

To make the Snowman Table Runner,
we used the Hexagon Die and the Snowflake Die.

We even fed the students a yummy homemade lunch!

You are welcome in SKJ anytime, and we can fill out your
Wish List together!

tumbler quilt

This is the Tumbler Quilt that I am already in the process of making.  I am cutting up a big variety of fabrics to make this. I am excited to get sewing to see how easy these shapes go together row by row.  If you use the same fabric as the first and last piece in the rows, it creates your first border.

Here is the tumbler used to make a table runner.  I like the edges on this!  Looks like a wave and goes nicely with the effect of the fabric and quilting.

This is what the die looks like.  You can cut 3 at once, or use up to 6 layers of fabric and make 18 tumblers at once.  This is the way I did it, and when I cut my fabric in 4 1/2" strips it made for little waste.  Plus it just went so much faster!

The Go! Baby will be 10% off next Friday and Saturday!  Visit Accuquilt.com to see more.  They have great videos too.
