I wanted to introduce you to Adrienne of The Vintage Empire, my booth neighbor at the Roseville Antique Market. We have been neighbors for the last three shows. And every time, I come home with a new and unique necklace. Whenever I wear them, I get compliments, and people always ask if it's vintage.



Adrienne is a girl after my own heart and uses vintage elements for her creations. They are made for both the girly girl and the rocker girl. Which I love that they appeal to the diversity of her shoppers.

Adrienne is now also making hats and hair bands. Plus leather cuffs with vintage brooch pins. And you can always find her dyed slips where she adds a bit of extra lace.

The Vintage Empire will also be at the Farm Chicks show this summer! Which is such a huge event. If you go, find Adrienne to say hello. You will come home with a few pieces that you will treasure, season after season.

There are some pictures from my Sunday show in Roseville for The Tattered House show. It was such a gorgeous day. Meeting some blog friends and seeing some faces that I recognized from previous shows. It was great seeing them all!

Shoppers loved seeing this vintage changing table that I use for display. And even though this vintage 1973 Fisher Price Activity Center didn't sell, everyone had to stop and play with it. Oh the childhood memories!

This is my display of shirts and onesies. Everyone really likes looking for their favorite monogram.

I sold this scrappy log cabin doll quilt. It was the first quilt that I ever made!

I also sold my selvage edge pin cushions. I will be making more of those! And my vintage planters were cute all set out together. I want to plant up a few of them with succulents.

I'm getting ready for an upcoming show in Roseville. So I am busy at my home studio sewing new items each day! Now if only my kids will cooperate.

I love participating in local shows, especially ones of this quality!  If you love these street craft/antique shows then you should make it to this one.  This will be my 3rd time at The Tattered House market, and it is just the best!

just a recap

Before I tell you about Disneyland, I wanted to tell you about the Roseville show.  It was great!  Our booth looked great and was well attended.  The Tattered House girls put together a terrific event with great shoppers and fantastic sellers.



This is just a few of the items from the Glitter and Grunge table.  Vintage patterns, papers, full of scrap booking and collage fun.



These are just a few of the little bits of goodness from my side of the table.  The little Get Well Soon card sold.  Isn't it just the cutest!

I had a ton of aprons for sale.  And they were really well received.  I also borrowed the mannequin from Claire and dressed it in a groovy dress that I bought in San Francisco on Haight Street.  The mannequin is also wearing a bag from newest Glitter and Grunge artist Julie aka Ona.



I walked through the other booths and saw this.  My son's initials! Since my days doing calligraphy I can't resist all sorts of lettering.



Some more handmade goodness, and it's vintage.  Aren't they just beautiful.  Jewelry is so popular right now, so I am trying to wear more.  I'll have to show you a photo of the rings that I bought at this show.



But for now, I'll just show you this perfect bag.  Julie pulled out this bag that she handmade and I grabbed it right away!  It was just what I needed for my Disney trip.  A few people even commented on how they liked it!  You can now see her other work as the newest artist to join Glitter & Grunge.

I went to a great backyard sale on Friday and picked up some fun things to share with you!



I made up some fun bags filled with different bits of fun just for those who like to collage and scrapbook.  They are filled with paper flowers, ribbon, buttons, glitter, vintage pics, story book pages, postage from France, pattern paper, paper flowers, iron on's, valentines, bingo cards, paperdolls and little trinkets.



Each bag is different and so I varied the prices too.  $4 bags, $3 bags, and $2 bags.  I put these together for my upcoming show in Roseville this Sunday.  If any are left they will then go to my glitter and grunge shop.

I am busy each day, getting together some new items.  So please check back tomorrow!

Busy day today.  I have been sewing up these little yo-yo's for a few days.  Now I am sewing them onto some little cards.  More fun swag for you!  The yo-yo's can be either cut off and used else where, or just use them as cute little cards!

antique show

Glitter and Grunge will be participating in this antique show in Roseville.



And I will be there too! Sharing a booth of course.  The following day after the market I will be taking the train with two of my kids and their grandfather to Disneyland.  But that is another story/blog post.



Claire and I went to the first Roseville Antique Market and had a great time.  There were some familiar faces, and some great new ones too.  I bought a brown trasferware plate and a vintage chenille blanket (to cut up).



The quality of vendors is high.  The Tattered House, who sponsors the event, screens all their sellers very well to make sure there is good quality of shopping to be done.  There are some real creative and fun booths.  My favorite had to be one seller who had her little trailer all fixed up inside like a little boutique shop.  Just adorable.



This is a little bit of the swag that I will be handing out at the day of the event.  They are strips of beautiful and colorful vintage linens.  When you come to the Glitter and Grunge booth and make a little purchase, you will get one of these packages, or something else from another G&G vendor.  I hope to see you there!
